About the Family Resource Center
The Woodland Elementary School Family Resource Center (FRC) supports student success by addressing non-academic barriers to learning and strengthening partnerships among families, schools, and the community. The FRC is available to assist all Woodland students and families by connecting them with school-based and community resources.

Families are encouraged to contact the FRC for information regarding resources, services, activities, or additional support for their child and family.
FRYSC Mission Statement
The mission of the Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC) is to enhance students’ abilities to succeed in school by developing and sustaining partnerships that promote:
- Early learning and successful transition into school
- Academic achievement and student well-being
- Graduation and successful transition into adult life
Services
Services provided by the Woodland Elementary FRC include, but are not limited to:
- School-based mental health counseling referrals
- Small group supports
- Health and social service referrals
- Crisis intervention services
- Mentoring programs
- Cradle School classes for parents and children (Birth–5 years)
- Childcare and after-school care referrals
- Referrals for new and expectant parents (First Connections)
- Military child support services
- Attendance support
- Student transition assistance
- Clothing, hygiene items, and school supplies (as available)
- Food assistance
- Family Stability Program resources
- Limited emergency assistance (utilities and rent)
- Vision assistance
- In-school dental services
- GED information and referrals
- Holiday assistance programs
FRC Advisory Council
The FRC Advisory Council is composed of school staff, parents, and community members. The council assists with the development, implementation, and evaluation of FRC programs and services.

Donations
The Woodland Elementary School FRC accepts donations to support students and families. Donation receipts are available upon request.
Accepted Donations:
- Gently used children’s clothing and tennis shoes
- New children’s underwear and socks
- Non-perishable food items
- Monetary donations (gas cards, food gift cards, or checks payable to Woodland FRC)
